Fun and informative two days culinary & urban tour to Pleven city
A tailor-made tour for you and your friends to reveal some of the secrets of the north and visit historical Pleven city and see sights in the region. Although the south of the country is more famous for its tourism traditions, the north is just about to emerge and become a surprisingly charming spot—one of the destinations that are still to be discovered but has many promises to make.
What to expect ?
This two days’ trip starts from Sofia city and includes a scenic drive to Pleven city along the picturesque “Stara Planina”. The first point of the tour is a visit to the famous Panorama Pleven that depicts the events of the Russian-Turkish deliberation war in 1877-1878. After the visit you will be taken for a home-made lunch to a private house in a village 5 minutes’ drive from the Panorama Pleven. Lunch is followed by relaxing stroll along the beautiful park Kailaka, visit of the city centre and the old part of Pleven. For the evening enjoy 4-course authentic Bulgarian menu with 4 Sommelier selected pairing wines and have two days of experience that you will remember. All that in the company of a tour guide born in Pleven, lived abroad for many years and WSET DIPLOMA Level 4 Certified. The guide and a group of 4 people in his private car for an exclusive Culinary & Urban tour.

ITINERARY
• Departure from any suitable for the guest’s location in Sofia city at 9.00 a.m. on Saturday. Pick-up will be organized.
• Visit to Panorama Pleven at 12.30.
• Lunch at private house just 5 minutes’ drive from Panorama Pleven
• A relaxing walk in Pleven city centre and Park Kailaka between 15.00 and 19.00
• Private 4-course authentic Bulgarian dinner, cooked by the tour guide with 4 Bulgarian wine pairings starting at 19.30
During the day: photo-stops, stroll along Pleven city centre and park Kailaka
•Accommodation in a private, cosy room in the same house as the dinner
• Start of the second day with traditional Bulgarian breakfast at 10:00 a.m. – Banitsa and ayran
• Departure from Pleven city at 11.00 on Sunday and visit of historical town of Lovech and lunch in the town
• Return to suitable for the guest’s location in Sofia city between 17.00 and 18.00 depending on the traffic. It could be arranged an earlier return to Sofia if needed.
MEETING POINT + TOUR DURATION
Meeting Point Options: Suitable for the guests’ location in Sofia. Pick up at 9.30 a.m. on Saturday.
Duration: Two days, return on Sunday evening between 17.00 and 18.00 depending on the traffic. It could be arranged an earlier return to Sofia if needed. Traffic on the way back to Sofia can be heavy on Sundays.
