Varieties: Carinena & Garnacha Tinta & Garo & Monastrell & Samso
This wine takes its name from the walls of the monastery of Poblet, which protected it during the Mercenary Wars.
Tasting characteristics:
Intense, deep red colour with purple tints. The aromas, exotic and very complex, reveal the wine’s great density, incredibly rich body and structure. Hints of spice, thyme and lots of ripe fruit (cranberry and blackcurrant), with a background of vanilla, incense and smoke. On the palate the wine is a real revelation, a different style that at the same time evokes memories of other wines and places. The wine evolves, revealing a fantastic series of flavours and memories… The dense, sweet tannins unfold and re-present the spice and fruit of the bouquet, evolving and flowing into a sumptuous finish leaving a lasting impression and memory of happiness.
