The only château in the Sancerre region situated on 100% flint terroir, in Sainte-Gemme-enSancerrois, north-west of the appellation. Its 15 hectares of vineyards are situated on a hill with a completely southern exposure. Château Fontaine Audon Sancerre Blanc from Langlois-Chateau in the Val de Loire wine region of France is a balanced, elegant white wine exclusively from the Sauvignon Blanc grape. In the glass, this wine shimmers a light straw yellow with subtle golden highlights. The nose reveals an expressive bouquet dominated by tropical fruits.
Particularly distinctive are the aromas of mango, which come to the fore and are perfectly highlighted by mineral notes. The mineral character continues on the palate and is accompanied by refreshing acidity and balance. Shades of tropical fruits reappear on the finish. As soon as the grapes arrive at the Langlois-Chateau winery, they are carefully pressed. The resulting is placed in thermoregulated stainless steel tanks for fermentation. The wine is then aged on fine yeasts until bottling in April.
This dry white wine from France is well chilled and an attractive aperitif. Can also be served with smoked salmon, lobster or grilled fish.
