Category: Sandanski Misket
Sandanski Misket is an indigenous grape variety for the regions of Sandanski and Melnik. It was created in 1979 by the Wine Institute in Sandanski by crossing three different varieties – Broad Leaved Melnik, Muskat Blanc a Petit Grains and Cabernet Sauvignon. If you are bored with Sauvignon Blanc or Pinot Grigio, you can try something different, but still similar. The grape has very high acidity and reaches great ripeness. It is very versatile and could produce a variety of wines, including dessert. Mainly from Sandanski Misket are produced refreshing dry white wines, suitable as an aperitif and also for spicy Asian cuisine dishes.
