Les Darons means ‘ancestors’ and represents the western part of the Languedoc region, the southernmost wine producing region in France. The wine is based on Grenache, planted on clay and limestone soils.
Varieties: 75% Grenache/20% Syrah/5% Carignan
Tasting characteristics:
On the nose, notes of red fruit yoghurt are revealed, complemented by blueberries, blackberries, cinnamon and black pepper. On the palate it combines density and intensity with a sense of softness. Ripe tannins are easily digestible due to the incredible freshness. The full body and rich flavours finish perfectly with menthol notes in the aftertaste. Perfect pairing with barbecue dishes, white and red meats, wine for many different occasions. Serving temperature – from 15 to 18°C. Ageing potential – 7-8 years.
