Terroir: The grapes come from selected vineyards in the southern Côte de Beaune and in Côte Chalonnaise.
Vintage 2019: After fermentation of whole bunches in inox, the wines are aged in oak barrels for 12 to 14 months in avats in the 15th century cellar of Domaine Chanson. The 2019 red wines are fresh and complex with an intense fruit combination.
The wine has a bright red colour. On the nose there are aromas of violets mixed with intense flavours of ripe black cherries and spices. On the palate it is complex and well-structured with very pure fruit, a deep and tight texture, elegant tannins and a long and generous finish.
Food Pairing: Super classic Burgundy wine, ideal with braised and roasted meats, as well as with pasta with meat sauce and regional cheeses (Comté, Epoisses, Citeaux)
