Chanson Côte de Nuits Villages 2017
Grape variety: Pinot Noir
Soil: Clay and limestone
Terroir: Selected parcels of vineyards in the Côte de Nuits, mainly Fixin, Brochon, Premeaux, Comblanchien et Corgoloin.
The 2017 vintage begins with whole cluster fermentation for approximately two weeks, after which the wines are aged in Domaine Chanson’s 15th century cellar for a period of between 14 and 18 months. New oak is used sparingly.
The wine has a dark ruby colour. The nose reveals intense aromas of red berries and red plum with a hint of vanilla. On the palate it is balanced with well-integrated tannins and a long aftertaste.
The wine is successfully paired with warm appetizers, white and red meats, mature cheeses (Epoisses, Langres).
