Zede de Labegorce, Margaux 0.75
Region/Appeal: Margaux, Bordeaux
Aged in oak barrels Zede de Labegorce is the second wine of Chateau Labegorce Zede. Owned by the Perodeau family since 1989, Château Labégorce Margaux is one of the oldest estates of the Margaux appellation. After the 2009 vintage and the merger with Château Labégorce Zédé, Château Labégorce Margaux covers 70 hectares. Traditional methods in the vineyard and the cellar have allowed Château Labégorce Margaux to become an undisputed reference within the appellation.
Varieties: 50% Cabernet Sauvignon, 35% Merlot, 10% Cabernet Franc, 5% Petit Verdot
Tasting characteristics:
The wine is aged for 12 months in French oak barrels: 30% new and 70% second fill. Vibrant colour with blue shades. Red berries and woody notes on the nose. On the palate the wine is well balanced between density and elegance, with an expressive finish. Perfect as an aperitif, paired with white meat, game, Emmental or white rind cheese such as Brie de Moe.
