Zonin 1821 Prosecco NV
Region: Prosecco DOC
Prosecco takes its name from a quaint hilltop town near Trieste, in Friuli Venezia Giulia.
ZONIN1821 has established itself as one of the most important wine producers in the world.
It works according to the simple philosophy that “Each region has its own traditions and its own wines”
After careful pressing of the grapes, the resulting must is divided into two batches: half undergoes an initial fermentation at 64°F, while the rest is stored at 32°F and kept unfermented.
Later, the must is combined and, following the traditional Charmat method, transferred to stainless steel tanks under pressure, where the wine acquires its famous sparkling properties.
This sparkling wine is refined and elegant, enhanced by pleasant fruit notes.
On the palate it is dry and pleasantly fruity with a fresh, aromatic note on the finish; revealing plenty of almonds and hints of fresh citrus.
It is paired with a wide choice of dishes: with Caprese salad, crab cakes, baked salmon with lemon and basil, chicken and green pesto pasta or exquisite desserts.
